Your Collegiate Advocate

Demographics are changing... by 2009 there will be 3.2M students graduating from high school. In 1990, there were only 2.6M. Colleges are not creating more spaces to accept more students. The climate for college admissions is more competitive today than ever before! YOUR COLLEGIATE ADVOCATE takes the stress out of the college planning and admissions process.

Students today need college counseling assistance earlier in their high school years in order to be prepared to compete for the college admissions process.

A private counselor can help steer high schoolers down the complex path to higher learning. Is this route right for your child? See the College Daze article for more information.

We can help! Your Collegiate Advocate (YCA) works with students individually to create a "strategic marketing plan". We help the student identify their strengths and show them how to present them when they begin the college application process. Our system helps students methodically work through all the steps necessary to be totally prepared to apply in the fall of their senior year with the least amount of stress.

The YCA College Planning Process involves not only assistance with four year planning throughout high school, but also what the student should consider doing in the summers throughout high school. Colleges today want students with a more well-rounded high school record. Grades and Test Scores are still important, but so are the extracurricular and community service activities. We help guide your student throughout high school to be his/her very best he/she can be. We help identify the best "fit" in a school, taking in consideration all aspects of the student's personality and needs.

Call today for an initial consultation. Each student is given a custom-tailored program from the beginning. We will be there throughout the process, once the student is accepted, we help with the decision of which school is the best for what the student wants to do.
